Our program

FAMILY RAISED

Our puppies are raised and handled from birth to ensure they get all the love needed to grow into well rounded and socialized pups. They are taught from a young age that people are kind, dogs are friends, and that the world is a safe place.

HEALTH TESTING

The health and temperaments of our dog is our number 1 priority. All of our parent dogs are screened as recommended by OFA; for hips, elbows, hearts, eyes, as well genetic tested. We do this to better our pups and help eliminate health issues in the future. Before adding any dog as a hopeful we make sure they have amazing/loving temperaments, as well as amazing health to match!

PUPPY CURRICULUM

We are so happy to use Puppy Culture protocols; giving our dogs a voice, and teaching them that new experiences can be fun. We also include a curriculum from the Empowered Breeder program. Exposing our puppies to new sounds, new experiences, and new challenges on a daily basis. With both programs our goal is to raise well rounded puppies that will thrive with their families.

ENS/ESI

Beginning as early as 3 days we begin Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction. ENS is done by performing a few handling exercises which are though to trigger different systems of the body. These small stressors  help stimulate the neurological system which improves the growth and development of the pup's immune system, cardiovascular system, and stress tolerance. At the same time we also begin Early Scent Introduction which helps enhance the puppies abilities to use their noses, react, and identify new scents.

SOUND EXPOSURE

Having puppies from such a young age we are able to introduce new sounds on a daily basis; from dogs barking, to the sound of a vacuum. The goal is to introduce sounds a normal puppy will hear on a daily basis  in a way that doesn't cause the puppy stress. They slowly become comfortable around these everyday sounds.

SOCIALIZATION

Though a lot of people might think socialization is simple playing with other dogs; there is a lot more that is involved. Our pups are raised along side with out other dogs, but we also expose them to new envirements. Going on a car ride, sitting in a bath tub, time in a crate, being carried to new areas of the home they have havent quite yet explored., the list goes  on.

DESENSITIZING

When of age we begin a daily 10 step handling exercise which includes;

-covering their eyes

-touching their noise

-touching their gums

-touching their ears

-moving their legs

-tapping their nails

-rubbing your hand around their neck

-rubbing your hand down their back

-tugging their tail

-placing them on their back and rubbing their belly

Each week we apply a bit more pressure so the pups get used to being handled and therefore teaching them to have a high touch tolerance.

PUPPY EVALUATIONS

Lastly around 6-7 weeks we begin temperament evaluations. Around this time the puppies personalities really begin to shine. During this time we can assess each pup and therefore help match families best with a pup who will thrive with them. Though choosing a puppy based on gender and color is tempting, it isn't the recommended way of choosing a pup. The best thing is to set up our puppies and families for success and help match families with a puppy who will thrive.
